Nikon Coolpix W300 Waterproof Camera

Just bought a new Nikon Coolpix W300 camera for underwater adventures. This camera is supposed to be waterproof, dustproof and comes with a 2-year warranty. It costed me about 26k from Amazon India. The whole package had a 16 GB memory card, HDMI cable, Nikon carry case, brush, charging USB wire, charging AC adapter, EN-EL 12 rechargeable battery, camera strap, user’s manuals and a warranty card.

I was expecting this camera to be like all plastic and rubbery but its not. The first impression is solid and feels like a real camera in hand. It is not like the cheap plastic camera that we get in the name of an action camera. The Grip on the camera is very good and the buttons are tight and solid. LCD on the camera is clean and big. I hope this camera proves its worth, once I go for my water adventures.

Nikon Coolpix W300 has 4 color options from red, yellow, back and camouflage green. I bought the regular black color one. It is a 16.05 MP with 5x wide optical zoom, the aperture is f/ 2.8 to 4.9 and records 4K UHD videos. I could have bought a GoPro 7 Black by paying 3k more, but I dint the major reason was flash and a LED light present in the Nikon.

So, I researched on this model on YouTube and on the net and some reported fog on the lens when taken to a lower temperature place. So, for that, I have bought silica packs when I go for my dive adventure. Rest I didn’t see any other bad reviews on this model.
