New Laptop and RAM upgrade

by Shaan Chopra

Got the new laptop really happy also upgraded the RAM to 8GB. I still feel it’s low need another 4GB latest but I only have one slot. Now it has to be 16GB what a bummer that particular RAM is a bit expensive.

With all the head shaking and reading people have made RAM buying a pain. If you look at the listings you will find that you are gambling. If I want an 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz 1Rx8 then I exactly know what I want. Look at the listings it states 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) and 1Rx16, 1Rx8 or 2Rx8. Gamble when you don’t know what is arriving.

Seriously people who are selling RAM please start updating your listing with exactly what you are selling.

It’s not cool when you buy an apple thinking it is going to red apple and you get a green apple. When there is nothing mentioned about the colour.

Coming back to the laptop it is an E14 Lenovo Thinkpad the base version with Windows 11. It is my first time on this version and I am still getting my hands on understanding how to customize it to my taste.

Copying everything is also a big problem, 7 to 8 years of data is not small and not everything is important.

Now I just want to enjoy the gadget, and the old one is still with me. The exchange value was so low that it will be better if I keep it. What do I do with it is the question. I can use it in many cases but I’ll first try to sell it offline.

I now need some additional accessories for my system also need to see if an SSD upgrade is required. Currently, it only has 256GB which is fine but additional space is always good.
